Please join Cathedral Square Friends to celebrate the honorary street naming of E. Wells Street for Cecilia "The Queen" Gilbert.
In city hall, in boardrooms, at small businesses and events, and through her involvement in civic projects Cecilia Gilbert served the city she loved and its residents for over 40 years.
We will unveil her new honorary street name and pay tribute to Cecilia Gilbert, known to many as The Queen of Downtown, on Thursday, June 18 at 5 p.m. at the Southwest Corner of Cathedral Square.
A live music performance by Respect! A Tribute to the Queen of Soul! at Jazz in the Park will follow the celebration.
